Araku is a famous hill station of AP. It is located at a distance of 120 KM fromVisakhapatnam It is famous for its scenic beauty. Located on the eastern ghats , it has valley, water falls and streams flowing by the side of the train track and roads. The journey to Araku Valley is the most enjoying as the rail passes through tunnels, hill sides and streams. . It is better to go to Araku by train and return by road.Tourist Places around Araku Valley Araku is a place to relax and enjoy nature. There are few tourist spots in Araku and they can be visited in two hours time. If you have time you can go ahead upto 15 KM to If you are at Araku then you must see,these yellow flowers will avalible in the mid of oct to mid dec only these November to December the whole valley is filled with yellow flowerswhich are used in extracting oil.Enroute is TYDA jungle village ,Anantagiri village ,Borra Caves,Katika waterfalls and lot more places where you can break your journey .If you have no time then Andhra Pradesh Tourism is running one day Bus tour or train and Bus package Getting train tickets is very difficult but if you get then the journey through 50 odd tunnels is spectacular and better than I feel much hyped toy train rides as I have travelled in them in two routes.The road to enter into the Araku valley is breathtaking, In season the fields will be covered with yellow flowers. The small river keeps company all along
